On July 21st on the official Microsoft twitter account for update on certain service incidents said that they are investigating an outage where users were unable to access Microsoft Teams or leverage any features on the app, but have not disclose any details on how many users were affected.

According to Downdetector.com, the web monitoring firm who tracks outages by collecting status reports from sources such as user-submitted errors on its platform shows that around 4,000 users are affected.
Similar, outages was been reported in the past year from Meta Platform where near six-hour disruption was also keeping WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger out of reach for billions of users.
